Originally from Syracuse, NY, Keith has lived in Florida, Arizona, Iowa, and
Beijing, China, and has been residing in the Denver area since 2000. His travels have
led him to many wonderful countries such as Australia, New Zealand, South Korea,
Japan, and Honduras. His most rewarding experience has come from visiting and
living in the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong. Keith had the incredible
opportunity to learn about Chinese culture and language as he encountered many
facets of life in Beijing, Hong Kong, Guangzhou (Canton), Shanghai, the Shaolin
Temple, and dozens of other cities and sites throughout China. Unquestionably, the
absolute highlight of all his travels is the multiple gung fu training expeditions he has
undertaken since 1999 to receive personalized training from his Sifu’s, Master Ron Heimberger and Grandmaster Ip Ching, at the Ving Tsun Athletic Association headquarters in Hong Kong.
Founder, owner, and lead instructor:
Keith Worfel is a fully certified instructor in the Ving Tsun Athletic Association (VTAA, Hong Kong) under his current Sifu, Grandmaster Ip Ching, youngest son of Great Grandmaster Ip Man, founder of the VTAA.
Keith began his martial arts career in Arizona in 1995, and in 1998 he humbly accepted the honor of becoming an internationally certified instructor in the art Wing Chun Gung Fu under his late Sifu, Master Ron Heimberger. Keith has had the extreme privilege and distinction of being a student of Master Heimberger, personal disciple of Grandmaster Ip Ching. Sifu Keith continues to uphold the wishes and spirit of Master Heimberger by traveling to Hong Kong annually to train directly under his current Sifu.
